My AI agent answers badly or off-topic: how do I improve it?
Give it more material: your products with prices, your website or documents, your hours, and a few example questions with the answer you would give. Then test it in “Test my agent”.
- Catalogue: add each product with its exact price; the agent only quotes these prices.
- Knowledge: paste your website address or import a PDF (prices, delivery, FAQ).
- Instructions: describe the tone and rules specific to your business.
- Examples: add three or four frequent questions with your answer.
- Handover rules: say in which cases the agent must hand over (quotes, complaints...).
After each change, ask the same question again in “Test my agent” to check that the answer has changed. If the agent hands over too often, it usually lacks a piece of information in its knowledge.
